Have you read the ingredients of your favorite skincare products recently? Chances are it contains one or more of the following synthetic ingredients.
Parabens are classified as hormone disruptors, meaning they mimic estrogen in the body and can lead to hormonal imbalances.
Check the Label for:
Methylparaben (E number E218), Ethylparaben (E214), Propylparaben (E216), Butylparaben, Heptylparaben (E209), Isobutylparaben, Isopropylparaben, or Benzylparaben.
Phthalates are used in cosmetics primarily in fragrances, hair spray, and nail polish. It is also used to make raincoats and car dashboards.

Dibutylphthalate (DBP) or Dimethylphthalate (DMP)
Toluene is a chemical thinner, commonly found in nail polish, hair dyes and even paint thinners. It may cause headaches, nausea, or birth defects.

Diethanolamine is a foaming agent. It’s a known carcinogen and respiratory toxin. Look for ingredients combined with the letters DEA on cosmetic labels.

Cocamide DEA, Cocamide MEA, DEA-Cetyl, Phosphate, DEA Oleth-3 Phosphate, Lauramide DEA, Linoleamide MEA, Myristamide DEA, Oleamide DEA, Stearamide MEA, TEA-Lauryl Sulfate, or Triethanolamine.
Formaldehyde is used as a preservative in cosmetics. It’s a known carcinogen that is also linked to asthma, neurotoxicity, and developmental toxicity.

Quaternium-15, DMDM Hydantoin, Bronopol, Imidazolidinyl, Urea, or Diazolidinyl Urea
